We really enjoy having you here for  your  work experience or placement, whether from school, college or university. The health and care sector want people from all walks of life who are better prepared for the workplace, and we offer a great place to develop the relevant skills, and find out if it’s the job for you. Getting relevant experience is one of the most important things you can do to help find a career,  so take this opportunity if you can. Having students on work experience here at Chepstow Mencap is good for us too! It often changes the dynamics and you have fresh new ideas that we can learn from.

Students come to us for varying lengths of time. Some come for a week, others do specific days for a required number of hours over several months, or even over the course of a year. We give you opportunities to have as many different experiences as you can whilst you are with us, to help you gain valuable insight and a real taste of what it’s like to have a career in social care.
